I wanted to post a photo of the Minnie Mouse cake I made for Charlotte. I am quite proud of this! The second cake in the background was done last minute (morning of the party) after realizing that the one cake wasn’t enough to feed the number of people coming! Make a comment and tell me what you think!

Charlotte has been wanting to learn the Cougar Fight Song this week with College Football right around the corner… Here’s a sneak peak inside our latest training session. Go Cougs!
Charlotte has named everyone in our family someone from the Mickey Mouse gang. She’s Minnie (of course), Pat is Mickey, I’m Daisy and poor Eleanor has been dubbed Donald… But Eleanor thinks it’s funny… enjoy!

Our 14th wedding anniversary was earlier this week and we celebrated with a kid-free night at the Westin in Seattle overnight. We had a great dinner at Morton’s, then went up the Space Needle to enjoy each other and the city lights. We remembered being at the Space Needle there just 3 years ago, on our anniversary, my tummy large just before Charlotte entered our lives.
We were very impressed with the Westin who put us on the 43rd floor with a beautiful view!
Photos: View of Westin from monorail; Us on the Monorail; view from our room
2nd line: daytime view from hotel room; the 43rd floor was very high up… just look at all the buttons!

While my girls were marching in their first parade, I was travelling to Portland for another Portland Beavers game. When I got on the flight, I asked the captain which side of the plane he was going to put Mt. St. Helens on. He told me don’t worry, he’d put it on both. I wondered what he meant, but soon found out when he took us on a little side trip flyby of the volcano (after getting permission from air traffic control). I got this video as we passed by the first time:
On the way back I got some still photos, plus Spirit Lake and the Toutle River Valley. Also included in this gallery is a link to the live flight tracker, where you can see how we flew out of the way! Later in the evening I got some nice photos at the PGE Park fireworks display.

As us three girls were out walking this morning, we discovered that the adjoining neighborhood was doing a parade and they invited us to join. So we walked around the block with all the other kids riding trikes and bikes. Their first parade!
